I have various names, D.Einder, Rsiulea, and other accounts, I feel some what afraid for having my work on here, I do make custom full neck-down customs and I feel it will be stolen. After reading topics before about your work being stolen without people asking your permission, and giving you lip. I know you guys have a sticky on how you keep it them from greedy hands, I still feel afraid if you ahve a method for it tell me please (simm ma'm/sir) Until then:

I HAVE RSTARTED TO SPRITE AGAIN.

Teovork

sign each picture in a way to make it.. un-stealable if you're REALLY that worried about it..

like.. write in small letters over-lapping your work so that if somone steals it, it has your name on it.

Technically they could just edit that out.. but not if they sucked at spriting..

Honestly i wouldnt be that worried about people stealing your work.. If i found out someone had stolen MY work, i would be flattered that they liked it enough to take it.. Still, it's required by this site for people to ask permission (though people do it without permission anyways).

When posting stuff online, it can always be stolen, so if you're REALLY worried about it, then maybe not posting would be the best choice.

though i would like to see your work now. I'm curious to see what type of work you do.

I've put them up before, I'm nto afraid if it's taken but the morons who just "OH SHIT! FREE AWESOME SPRITE TO TAKE!" Without asking, I mean they don't credit, I knwo this been talked about over and over and over and over, but I'm such a late bloomer in this who RO-way I've played the game but never heard read the threads from this place until now this year.

I was mad seeing how people insult you about not caring your well-being just like mugen community who take, take, take and not ask, I don't mind if they do I am quite honored they used my work for there personal reasons, but still looking at it this is a public place, I was thinking about going to RUNE community but I dunno.

Perhaps I'm being to jumpy I quit a private server cause I dipise them and they don't meet expectations. I'm sorry I'm kinda upset and depress, I feel no one respects the artist for customs just there spriting not there workers and don't show any compassion or kindness.

It happens. Not just with custom sprites but with art & graphics the net over. Entire web layouts, even.

My (personal) method is a logo, and a .PSD. The former is easy to edit out. But, if I can show a .PSD with each individual part of a sprite or signature on separate layers with their effects intact, while the person who supposedly did it can't.. well, and back to the art-stealing grind for them.

I've got .PSD(s) of everything I've made here. But, if people want to take them, they can go ahead. Because even if they do, in the long run, they won't be able to make said art themselves, or do anything with it that actually matters.

Example: OH NO! xXxjoey30581058920xxXx took my sprite art and claimed it to be his own on a message boards with a record 5 people on it at a time! Too bad I'll be polishing said spriting abilities and will eventually make much more extravagant works that may end up being that extra edge needed in a graphics portfolio for job offers online, while our friend here'll likely not even get a GED.

If you don't want them on here, don't. But don't let imbeciles ruin the enjoyment of sharing your works, either. =P

Teovork

i agree with you entirely typhoon.

And it does help to keep proof that you did the work yourself, such as a .psd file. Not only is it a good idea for credit purposes, but if you even have to go back and do an edit you still have everything to work with. haha

Technically impossible, and I rarely use that term. As soon as you see a picture, it's in your browsers cache. As soon as it's in your browsers cache, there is no way of controlling it's distribution. There's no such thing as image protection and I doubt there will be a decent one within the next decade unless we experience a huge change in web technology.

Yes thats what I be doing, polishing up my skills but I don't use photoshop but I think I see what you mean have the original file as a different format make sense makes VERY GOOD sense, so silly to forgotten that I'm sorry.

Simn, I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that you do a very good job keeping this place intact and I love it, I really do, I'll do the watermarks and tricks I guess thats the best bet.
